Unfortunately not! The CBD Place operates solely within the European Union, and all products distributed by The CBD Place adhere to the European Union Regulation 1672/2000.
CBD (cannabidiol) is a chemical compound from the cannabinoid family found in high concentrations in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant.
CBD works by interacting with our endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for looking after our body’s immune response, communication between cells, appetite and metabolism, memory, and more. Our endocannabinoid system houses several cannabinoid receptors. There are two types of these; CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are mostly found in the brain and central nervous system, whereas CB2 receptors are found in cells associated with the immune system and peripheral organs. CBD doesn’t directly fit into the CB1 or CB2 receptors but has powerful indirect effects on both.

No, CBD oil will not get you high – getting high really isn’t what CBD is about. The Marijuana plant contains both THC and CBD in abundance, but only THC is psychoactive, and is the compound that is most associated with getting ‘stoned’. CBD, on the other hand, is linked to a range of health benefits which are being thoroughly researched across the world today.

There are two main types of CBD extract – whole plant and CBD isolate. CBD isolate, as the name suggests, works alone, with no other parts of the hemp plant extracted with the CBD. However whole plant extracts are taken from the entire hemp plant, meaning they include a host of other compounds such as CBC and CBG, as well as phytonutrients, minerals, flavonoids and terpenes.
The terms CBD Oil and cannabis oil are used interchangeably by some suppliers, but in general there is a difference between the two. CBD Oil refers to oils like the ones we make here at The CBD Place, with a high CBD and low THC content (less than 0.3%). However cannabis oil usually refers to an oil that contains far greater levels of THC as well as CBD, and is used as a medicine in some parts of the world for conditions such as epilepsy (but is still illegal in the UK).
Both hemp and marijuana are members of the cannabis family, but hemp is a term generally used to describe non-intoxicating Cannabis that is harvested for the industrial use of its derived products, and has a THC content of less than 0.3% (the legal requirement for CBD). Marijuana, on the other hand, refers to cannabis plants with a THC percentage higher than 0.3%, and is the plant often associated with ‘smoking weed’.
